Bounenkai Dinner Cancelled! １２月２０日の忘年会はキャンセルしました！ We reluctantly decided to cancel our End of Year Party called Bounenkai Dinner at Sato Japanese restaurant which was supposed to be held on Monday, 20 December, 2021. １２月２０日（月）に予定していたさとジャパニーズレストランでのAJA忘年会ディナーは 残念ですしたが、キャンセルいたしました。 The reasons for this cancellation were that as the Covid situation continued to unfold, although there were no bans or lockdowns at the moment (  SA covid restrictions  ), our chosen restaurant was still close to a mass gathering and exposure sites. Especially the borders have been opened last week and many criketo fans from other states are coming to Adelaide to see the famous Ashe Series. Tea Ceremony and Japanese Cultural Study at Flinders Park Primary School Ruriko and Kyoko helped some students of Flinders Park Primary School who are studying Japanese at school  Ruriko showed some Japanese Tea Ceremony procedure and some eticket such as how to make a bow, how to drink a bowl of Macha green tea. OZASIA Moon Lantern Trail 2021 - Sat, 23 Oct 2021 I would like to congratulate the OzAsia Festival staff for this new trial event. As AJA has been participated in the Moon Lantern Parade since they started I know how hard it is to organise this event. Due to Coivd restrictions they couldn't have the parade last year and this year. So they had to do in another way. All the big lanterns were so beautiful and displayed nicely at Pinky Flat along the Torrens River side. How wonderful it was. Many people strolled and admired all the big lanterns and had a good time with the beautiful lights view of the city. I think it is better than having parade because when we participated in the parade we didn't have much time to admire the lanterns. However, this way everyone can see all the big lanterns and enjoy it more properly. Jim received Japanese Emperor's Medal , 25 March 2021  AJA's former president, Jim Stewart received Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette last November. However, due to Covid pandemic, the certificate and the medal arrived this January brought by Mr Junji Shimada who is the new Japanese Consul General of Japan in Melbourne. On the 25th of March, finally there was an official presentation and Jim's family, some of AJA's members and Jim's old friends were invited to the event to witness Jim actually received the certificate and the medal.
