Jim received Japanese Emperor's Medal , 25 March 2021 



AJA's former president, Jim Stewart received Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette last November. However, due to Covid pandemic, the certificate and the medal arrived this January brought by Mr Junji Shimada who is the new Japanese Consul General of Japan in Melbourne. On the 25th of March, finally there was an official presentation and Jim's family, some of AJA's members and Jim's old friends were invited to the event to witness Jim actually received the certificate and the medal. Congratulations to Jim Stewart. 元AJA会長で１５年間AJAの会長を務め、現在もコミッティーの一人であるジム・スチュワートさんが、日本の「旭日小綬章」を受賞しました。本来であれば、受賞は昨年の１１月だったのですが、コロナウィルスパンデミックのために、今年になって赴任が決まった新しいメルボルン日本総領事の島田氏と共にオーストラリアに賞状と勲章が運ばれてきて、ようやく、アデレードでの授賞式が３月２５日に行われました。長年、日本との友好関係に力を注いできたジムのために、彼の家族、親友たち、そしてAJAから少人数ですが招待を受けて、受賞を分かち合うことができました。ジムさん、本当におめでとうございます
