３０年間のボランティアガイドの功績で表彰されたグレンさん


AJA's most senior person and one of our life members, Glen Woodward has been　volunteering in various community groups including AJA for a long time.

On 26th of June, he received a appreciation certificate and a plaque for the 30 years of volunteering as a tour guide at Adelaide Town Hall. Congratulations to Glen.

AJAのライフメンバーの一人、グレン・ウッドワードさんは、現在AJAの最年長会員です。
グレンさんは、アデレード市役所の歴史ある建物のボランティアツアーガイドをなさっていますが、６月２６日にアデレード市役所より、ボランティアガイドを３０年続けたということで表彰されました。おめでとうございます。

After the presentation ceremony, Glen did a one of his private history tours of the Adelaide Town Hall, so as to support his work, as representatives from AJA, Kyoko and Stuart visited the Adelaide Town Hall to attend Glen's tour.

そして、祖表彰式のあとに、毎週行われている歴史あるアデレードタウンホールのツアーがあり、AJAを代表して、会長と副会長が参加してきました。

As a small group of four we all enjoyed the tour and were amazed with Glen's knowledge of Adelaide's history. Wow Glen is definitely very young senior!! and is also showing his wisdom perfectly.

他にも二人の参加者があり、少人数でしたが、内容の濃いツアーをしてもらいました。

私たち参加者は、グレンさんの豊富な知識とユーモアのある話し方に魅了されながら、楽しくアデレードの歴史を学ぶことができました。

The tour took about 1.5 hours without break. Glen did not slow down but walked and explained while showing us around the historical Adelaide Town Hall.
グレンさんは、ご高齢とは思えないほどの健脚で、１時間半の間休まずに広い市庁舎の中をくまなく説明案内していただきました。

He is definitely one of AJAs precious treasures.
We hope Glen keeps being healthy and can continue whatever he is enjoying.

グレンさんは、本当に、AJAの大切な宝物だと思います。これからも、グレンさんがお元気で活躍されることを祈っています。
