3D Hands talk at the   SA Japanese Liaison Group SA 2022 Dec report  州日本人関連グループ連絡協議会 this is a biannual meeting of many SA Japanese groups,  where we catch up with what everyone is doing .  On this occasion it was our 3rd meeting, and in this particular meeting also featured a wonderful talk by Mat Bowtell founder of the 3D Hands charity organisation (  https://free3dhands.org/  ).  Matt after becoming redundant from Toyota Australia, put his engineering skills and knowledge towards helping others, by manufacturing artificial hands which he gives freely without cost to children in need all over the world for free.   We would like to share with you the link to the Monash Centre for Japanese Language Education’s video series: 日本語を知る。世界が広がる。 https://www.monash.edu/arts/mjlec/learn-japanese-and-a-new-world-opens Mat’s video can be found at the top of the list This is a very worthwhile organsition run by very commendable people that is well worth your time to inspect it.  

2023 Australia Day Respecting Country Parade Participant Information 2023年 オーストラリアデーパレード AJA ティーム参加について Date and time:   26 th of January  Australia Day  The parade will start 6pm for about 1 hour. However, please be ready at the starting point by 5:30pm. The Parade route: パレードルート The Parade will start at Pinky Flat and head along War Memorial Drive, onto King William Road and then continue through Elder Park, towards the big screens heading to the grass area adjacent   the Entertainment Centre. The Numbers of walking people : パレード参加人数 The Parade will be a Walking Parade and our preference   would be groups of 20 people as a maximum In doing this it will allow more communities to be involved in the   Parade. Costumes　衣装 Traditional or National dress or uniforms.  This will give the Parade more colour and life.   It will also give your group a much more unified look and showcase your community at its best. We are looking to engage the audience with movement and life. ★★Wo

AJA AGM & Dinner 2022 Report -  2022年度 AJA年次総会＆Dinnerのレポート The 55th AGM was held on Thursday, 30th of November. The venue was Nagomi Japanese Kitchen in Hutt Street, City. There were 21 people participated and everyone enjoyed the dinner.  Members would have been emailed the Agenda, Minutes, Financial Report and the President report, if any members still require a copy please email us.  Everything went well, h owever, the following day we had a report from one of the participants that an attendee had became Covid 19 positive. Thanks to this person for being honest, we thought it was a right thing to do.   So AJA emailed to all the participants to ask them if they felt unwell, it would be better to have a test.  Following this  two more people reported that they also had become Covid positive.  Many people say that they would like to recommend Nagomi restaurant and would like to go back there with other family members or friends.  Adelaide Giants Japan Day 2022 Report This event, welcomed and celebrated the Japanese University Junko Baseball Teams visit to the Adelaide Giants between 24 - 26 November. On the Saturday 26th, it was a special day called Japan Day. Piano Concert organised by the Japanese Society of Adelaide=JSA  was held on Sat, 19 November, 2022 アデレード日本人会主催のピアノコンサート AJAもご招待を受けました。 Japanese Society of Adelaide (JSA) organised a piano concert at the SA State Library, Hetzel Lecture Theatre, North Terrace, City on Saturday 19th of November. The pianist was Ms. Yuki Kuboi and she is a member of JSA. 11月19日（土）、アデレード日本人会会員の久保井有紀さんによるピアノリサイタルが行われました。会場は、ノーステラスにあるSA州立図書館の Hetzel Lecture Theatre。 Yuki is also the pianist of the Adelaide Kimono Choir. She also plays the piano for Hisae Wood who is a professional soprano opera singer in Adelaide and they regularly perform in several places in Adelaide. 有紀さんは、アデレード着物クワイヤーの専属ピアニストでもあり、また、ソプラノ歌手のひさえウッドさんとアデレードのいくつかの会場で定期的にコンサートを開いています。 This time, JSA also invited members of AJA, the Japanese Community School and the Japanese Teachers Association SA to the concert.
