Volunteer for the Hiragana Challenge at Immanuel Primary School 

５年生ひらがなテストのボランティア募集

One of AJA's members, Ms. Shoko McInerney who is a Japanese teacher at Immanuel Primary School sent an email to AJA.  AJAの会員で、イマニュエル小学校で日本語を教えていらっしゃるしょうこ先生から、AJAのメンバーやお友達の皆さんにお願いのメールが届きました。

イマニュエル小学校　５年生ひらがなテストのボランティア募集

イマニュエル小学校では、引き続き試験官のボランティアをしてくださる方を募集しています。

期間は8月1日（火）から15日（火）までで、全部で5回のテストです。

ひらがなが読める人ならどなたでも大丈夫です。

全部でなくても、これる日だけで構いません。

What to do:

There are 11 levels of Hiragana reading tests. 

Act as an examiner, listen to Y5 students' reading Hiragana words. 

I will explain the details.

First timer, please arrive 20 mins before the testing time to sign in at the front office and come to the Japanese room for instructions.

チャレンジ4：8月9日（水）12時40分から3時15分

チャレンジ5：8月15日（火）9時10分から11時50分

各試験時間の20分前に小学校の受付においでください。

内容

8月1日から15日にかけて5年生のクラスでひらがなの読みのチャレンジを5回にわたって行っています。

全部で11レベルあって、各レベルのテストシートにある単語のうち、試験官が任意で指差す単語を10個よめたら、合格して、次のレベルの単語にチャレンジします。

上のレベルでになると拗音や促音、長音や短い文章もはいってきます。

最終レベルでは反復的で簡単なお話を読めるようになります。

一般的な記憶力を試すテストと違い、たくさん読むことによって自分で読み方のルールがわかるようになって、ひらがなを読む楽しさを経験し、自信をつけるチャレンジです。
