Event Theme
★★Tanabata 七夕 & Obon お盆 in Winter★★
The event is based on a tanabata and obon theme, which are Japanese traditional summer community festivals in Japan. However, here in Adelaide the season is in Winter. So just like Christmas in July, we are having Tanabata and Obon in Winter(^^♪★
Tanabata is a summer festival celebrating prayers and wishes for the future.
Obon festival celebrates remembrance and prayers for the ancestors.
Free Entrance
However, AJA is a community non profitable organisation and our members are doing this as a volonteer. So we will be appreciated if you could donate some small amount at the entrance even a gold coin donation to enable us to continue doing these events is greatly appreciated.
Fundraising Raffule Tickets Selling
Also we will be selling raffle tickets two for $5
with prizes from our participating food stall holders
who kindly donate their restaurant's vouchers
Sato Japanese Restaurant's two people banquet voucher $100 value x 2
More fabulous prizes will be TBC
