Ganesh Chaturthi is an important Hindu festival that celebrates the birth anniversary of God Ganesh, the God of prosperity, wisdom & destroyer of obstacles. The 10-day Festival is celebrated not just in
India but across the world during the sixth month (Bhadrapada) of the Hindu calendar.
It invites everyone to immerse in the magical spirit of festivities through the reverberating beats of dhol-tasha, the soul-purifying sounds of mantras, and the aroma of delectable delicacies.
To welcome Lord Ganesh and seek his blessings, the United Indians of South Australia (UIOSA) will organise its 9 Annual Arts and Cultural Ganesh Festival of South Australia on 7 and 8 September 2024, in Adelaide.
Conceptualised on the spirit of inclusiveness of Australia's vibrant multicultural community, the Festival celebrates the rich tapestry of cultures woven together through the soulful melodies of music, the rhythmic pulse of dance, and the vibrant flavours of food.
