The Future of Our Planet Shaped by Unique Individuality
Features
International Exchange: Different cultures and sensibilities from around the world come together in a single artwork.
Promoting Japanese Culture: Children overseas experience creating with washi, traditional Japanese handmade paper.
Collaborative Creation: Even when physically apart, participants share the joy of making one unified piece.
Outline
Create a large circular canvas.
Divide the circle into nine equal sections.
Assign three sections to children from each participating country, who will create torn-paper art using washi, a traditional Japanese craft material.
Finally, washi artist Midori-no Kaeru will refine and integrate the sections into one complete artwork.
The completed piece will be exhibited and shared online.
