2026 Australia Day Parade was cancelled due to extrem heat on the day.
２０２６年のオーストラリアデーパレードは、出発時刻の午後６時時点の気温が38度を超えていたということで中止になりました。

AJA History

• Australia Japan Association of South Australia (AJA of SA) was Established in 1967 and it makes AJA 59 years old this year!  AJA is reaching its 60th milestone next year.
  南オーストラリア豪日協会は、１９６７年に設立されて、今年２０２６年で５９歳になりました。来年はいよいよ６０歳で還暦を迎えます！

AJA's main purpose
AJAの大切な目的は：

• Our main purpose is to provide an safe environment for socialising and providing community connections with no political or religious reasons. 
  私たちの主な目的は、政治的または宗教的な理由を持たず、人々が交流し、地域社会とのつながり・絆を深めるような安全な環境を提供すること
• Supporting activities that promote and support cultural exchange between Japan and Australia.
  日豪の文化交流を促進する活動をサポートすること

Our members are: AJAのメンバーは

• We are a community of Japanese residents in South Australia and Aussie Japanophiles who share a deep love for Japan. Our members come from all walks of life and all age groups. We highly value mutual respect, helping each other out, and learning together.
  南オーストラリア州に住む日本人と、日本が大好きなオージー（日本人以外の）親日家の人たち(^^♪の集まりです。年齢も職業も様々で、お互いを尊重し、助け合いと学び合うことを大切にしています。

How to become a finacial member 

AJA正会員になる方法

AJA is a Non Profitable Community Organaisation so we appreciate your financial support. Your financial support helps us able do our community events and support the community . 

AJAは非営利のコミュニティー団体ですので、皆様からの会費で運営されています。皆様からのサポートに心より感謝しております。

 

• AJA membership fee:
• For indivisual member is  $20/year 
• For business or organaisaion is $50/year

• To become  a member please do the following two steps;
• (1) Pay your membership by paying your membership fee into AJA's bank account below. 以下のAJAの銀行口座に会費を振り込んでいただくだけです。
• Direct deposit to Australia Japan Association of SA via
• ANZ account, BSB: 015-010
• Account Number: 495-886-025
• Account Name: AJA or AJA of SA
• For reference: Please provide your name so AJA knows who to credit with the payment.
• (2) Let us know that you paid.   
• After you have paid please email ajaofsa@gmail.com to tell us that you have done it to ensure your payment is not missed and just to make life easier.  振り込みが完了したあとは、メールでお知らせくださると助かります。
• In the email please also let us know your name and contact number so that after your payment is verified, we will be able to send you a receipt.  お名前（漢字の場合は読み方もお願いします）と電話番号を添えて ajaofsa@gmail.com までお知らせください。口座振り込みが確認できたあと、AJAのレシートを送らせていただきます。

J-Talk - NichiGo Kaiwa Club (日豪会話クラブ）

• J-Talk is AJA's monthly social meeting.
• We meet approximately once a month, somewhere in a café or normally a Japanese restaurant.
• At the meetings, members and friends enjoy dining together and talking in Japanese and English.
• You don't have to be fluent languages at all. Just talk which language ever comfortable for you and enjoy talking and eating meal there.
• It is a very good opportunity to make good friends.
• Of coursem you can use your language skill and learn English and Japanese.
• If you are from Japan recently, our members are happy to listen and help giving a good advise or information about Adelaide life.
• Anyone can participate - no age limits young and old, any Nationality background
• １カ月に１度、日豪会話ダイニングクラブ開催
• 食事をしながら、日本語と英語で楽しくおしゃべりをしています。
• 会場はだいたい市内の日本食レストランやカフェレストラン（決まっていません）
• 日本人、オージー、他の国の人たちのお友達ができます(^^♪
• 英語と日本語を勉強できるいいチャンス。
• 英語や日本語が堪能でなくても全然かまいません(^^♪
• また、日本の人たちでアデレードに来たばかりの人は、地元の人たちから、いろいろな生活情報を教えてもらえるいい機会です。
• 年齢制限、国籍バックグランドの制限はありません。

  Hinamatsuri Japanese Market in Glandore Community Centre　
  毎年３月第一日曜日、ひな祭りジャパニーズマーケット開催
• July or August - Adelaide Japanese Cultural Day Burnside
  - by AJA, supported by the City of Burnside　
  毎年７月か８月の日曜日、アデレード和風文化祭（冬の七夕、冬の盆）開催
• Picnic outings, Volunteer Appreciation Day BBQ　
  ピクニックやボランティア感謝BBQ開催
• School or community support
  AJA members volunteer for community's need for doing Tea Ceremony, Origami, Calligraphy, Kimono dressing and other Japanese traditional cultural performances　学校やコミュニティーの団体からの依頼があれば、茶道、折り紙、書道、浴衣着付けなどの日本の文化の紹介ができることのお手伝いをしたりします。
